Apple Inc. (AAPL) 8-28-07 Trade

Yesterday I bought 10 sept 130 calls at around 2:00 for 5.60....not knowing the FED meeting minutes were being released as I hit the execute button. So about 10 minutes later I was down 1.00. So I doubled up at 4.50, cause the market in my opinion over reacted to the FED's misleading and confusing meeting minutes. They didn't say they were cutting rates and they didn't say they weren't, so people got scared and started to sell off. The market sank, along with my options.

So when I doubled up my cost basis went down .55 cents, so I am in at 5.05 per contract.

This morning (8-29) the market was up, and Apple popped over $4 bucks, my options popped as well. So I sold my 20 calls for a quick 18% gain.

Trade Update 8-21-07

It's been awhile since I have posted any trades. Over the last 2 weeks I have done way too many trades to post. To be honest I can't even remember them all. They have all been with Apple though, and all were small gains. Apple has been on a roller coaster, great for trading. Has to be watched closely cause price moves fast!

Apple Inc. (AAPL) 8-06-07 Trade

With Apple opening this morning on the up side, I bought some 130 put options. I knew it would pull back, and sure enough it did. I had to hedge my earlier apple call trade (which I am getting destroyed in right now) I sold my puts for a quick 33% profit.

Apple Inc. (AAPL) 7-30-07 Trade

This morning Apple was up over $1, then quickly fell to a midday low of a little over $4. About mid point to the low $4, I bought some Aug 150 call options. After I got in, apple continued to fall to its intraday low. At that point I was debating doubling up on my calls. I really wanted to but never pulled the trigger.

As it stands right now at 1:20 pm I am down .10 cents.

If I had pulled the trigger to double up I would be up .30 cents and might of actually have sold by now.

Well this trade got out of hand REALLY FAST. The stock kept dropping, when it was all said an done I was in it for 6 times than what I started out with. I did not intend to sextuplet (or whatever) my trade. I wen to double up and my broker account errored and said trade did not execute. SO I quickly entered a new order to double up. This one went through ok. I then went back to my positions page and to my surprise both orders went though, so now instead of doubling up I tripled up due to the system error (damn!) oh well. So now that I am in for triple, the stock took a HUGH hit. Dipped like 7 straight bucks. So now I am like I need to bring down my cost basis if I am going to make any kind of a profit off this trade. So I doubled my triple....ah WTF!

Needless to say the stock kept falling. Whats that saying "never try and catch a falling knife" well my hands got cut off!!!! This trade ended up being a 100% loss. This one HURT BAD!!!!

Wynn Resorts Ltd (WYNN) Trade 7-27-07

On Friday morning I bought some Wynn puts. Mid afternoon I was sweating it out as Wynn climbed over $3, which made my put fall over $1.50. Today Wynn fell over $3, which made my put options go up so I sold my puts for a 7% profit.

Apple Inc. (AAPL) 7-25-07 Trade

Bought some Aug. 150 calls yesterday and doubled my position this morning. Apple reports today AMC. They will beat expectations. Stock should go up after hours today.

!@#$ $!!%$ ....I am so pissed...late yesterday the stock started to dip a little, so to protect some gains I put in a stop loss order. I figured I'd put it low enough to stay in it, but high enough to give me a profit if the price dipped that low. Well sure enough the price hit my stop price and stopped me out (sold my options) It hit it exactly no less!!! I swear market makers hit peoples stops on purpose just to get the commission from the trade!!!

So needless to say I am very pissed, as I predicted Apple shot up to the moon after they posted earnings. RECORD EARNINGS!!! Because I got stopped out I missed this big move, one that would have netted me 3K.

So after I got stopped out, this trade made a 3% profit. Would have been 100% at the least!!!

Apple Inc. (AAPL) 7-24-07 Trade

Yesterday with Apples morning sell off (which was totally not justifiable) I bought some Aug. 150 calls. Mid afternoon it shot back up and I had a nice 27% profit. But I decided not to take it and set a stop loss at a 5% profit. Well later that day starting at 1:30 to be exact it started to sell off again. I got stopped out my stop price and made a 5% profit on this trade.

I would have usually taken the 27% gain and walked away, but with Apple reporting today after market closes, I felt I would have more upside. So around 3:00 I bought more Aug. 150 calls.

This morning it shot up with a nice 28% gain, but was short lived. I did not have time to place my sell order to capture that gain. The stock started sell off quickly again, so I double my position and watching with a close eye. I still feel that the sell off is B.S, Apple will come out and report later today and beat the streets expectations. AT&T's numbers were totally bogus. AT&T is not going to make as much money off the iPhone as everyone thinks. AT&T pays Apple $3 a month for every iPhone, plus another $8 a month for every NEW customer who came over to AT&T just for the iPhone. There has been (so far..only a month) 70,000 new customers. So right there is over 5 million dollars a year for Apple coming from AT&T.
